The Cabo Pulmo National Park, is home of the northern coral reef in the continent and has become a worldwide example of conservation. With hundreds of marine species, including corals, invertebrates, fish, sharks and marine mammals, Cabo Pulmo represents the diversity of the Gulf of California at its fullest.
A one of a kind example of conservation efforts and collaboration between the local community, the government and the scientists, Cabo Pulmo National Park is located two hours southeast of La Paz, and one and a half hours’ northeast of San Jose del Cabo. Is a small town located in the East Cape, taking a 20km detour from the main highway followed by a 10km dirt road, will take you to this incredible place, guarded by the local families, where the most amazing things awaits beneath the surface.
If you have your own car or a rental, we can give you detailed instructions to get there, or you can travel with our transport and bungalows services, to make the most of your experience in Cabo Pulmo. If you want to camp, there are specially designated areas, and in town you can find several local restaurants and a community grocery store, so we recommend coming prepared.
